David Suzuki address concerns over science taking a back seat to politics and business after certain findings were not released to the public. Some of the concerns are for the health of our wild salmon on the west coast.
With the Cohen Inquiry only a few days away, August 22nd to September 9th, 2011, it's important that all relevant scientific information be made available so that an informed solution to the problem be initiated.

This is good news and a start. The same closed containment systems need to be adopted on the west coast to preserve the health and integrity of the wild salmon on the pacific side.
"Bill Taylor, President of ASF, said, “With concerns growing over the impacts of salmon farming on threatened and endangered wild Atlantic salmon, it is becoming increasingly apparent that the future of salmon farming must lie in closed containment systems. ASF has decided to put our purse behind our policy and get involved in developing a promising new way to sustainably grow out healthy Atlantic salmon in closed containment facilities.”"
